Ringgold, VA Disposal Facility

First Piedmont began as an industrial waste hauling company in Southside Virginia. In 1972, we received a permit for the First Piedmont Landfill that today encompasses 250 acres. We operate under Permit #65 by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ) as an industrial landfill. We are CERCLA certified by the Environmental Protection Agency. We accept industrial, commercial (excluding food), construction, demolition, debris, asbestos, industrial sludge, special waste and other industrial waste streams.

A groundwater monitoring program was voluntarily implemented in 1978. The landfill has a synthetic liner and a leachate collection system.

We also operate a transfer station at this location that accepts sanitary waste. We then transport this waste to a nearby sanitary landfill.

We have a full-service maintenance shop and a staff of mechanics who service all of our equipment. This provides us the capability to properly maintain our fleet. The availability of back-up equipment allows us to provide prompt and uninterrupted service.
